Received call from 08 6555 8062 regarding demands for tax debt and police action at 11.08. This was after receiving a similar call from 02 86075007 this morning some three hours earlier.
Total Scam, the first was from 0731713592 which was a tax scam then 5 minutes after I received a similar call from 08 6555 8062 with a threat of police to the door etc.
I was on the phone to a Telstra call centre the day before and spoke to 5 different call centre people offshore I assume in India. This is the second time this has happened in 8 months, and I sure someone has access to our numbers and handing them out to these scammers.
This issue seems to arise when dealing with large corporations that outsource their call centre overseas.
Fraud. Not sure how they got my full name and phone number. A male with an Indian accent - rude and abrupt - I asked for his name and where he was calling from and he hung up. Recommend block this number.
Automated voicemail saying police will come to your door or place of employment if you don't call back. SCAM.
