“Dear customer, this call is from PayPal online security….” Then something about online gift card purchases.
Bloody scammers.
I suspect this is a scam call where the caller claims they can help cancel a credit card if action is not taken within a specific timeframe. This sounds dubious and concerning.
Spam.
Spam call.
I received a spam call from this number, where the caller claimed that my mobile number would be deactivated.
This number rang my mobile twice, then sent a text prompting me to press 1 if I wanted to communicate in Chinese. Though I might be interested, I unfortunately can't speak the language. When I tried to call back using my home phone, I found out that (02) 5323 2508 does not exist.
They left me a voicemail stating that something was being canceled in two hours and asked me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. The rest of the message was in Chinese, which makes it suspicious.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
