I received a notification regarding a recent transaction attempt for $2450.45 to an individual named MR A AHLI. If you do not recognize this transaction, please contact us immediately at (02) 5300 0312, referencing REF: 8FBS3 for assistance.
This is a scam operation. I received a text message that appeared to be from WESTPAC stating a transaction of $2450.45 was attempted by someone named MR A AHLI, but I don’t even have a Westpac account!
I received a text message asking for authorization related to a payment from a Westpac bank account, which I don't own. This is definitely a scam attempt.
The caller claimed to be from Westpac and provided a one-time passcode for a transaction related to an AirBNB booking, which raised my suspicions.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Westpac, who stated that my bank account had been involved in an unauthorized AIRBNB purchase. The caller insisted that I needed to call the number they provided to resolve the issue.
I received a text message from a number claiming to be "WESTPAC," stating that a One-Time Passcode was sent for an account linked to AIRBNB. The message warned that if I did not recognize this transaction, I should contact them immediately at (02) 5300 0312.
