Didn't answer > come up as Bathurst number they did leave a voicemail mail saying this is a warning from Vodafone your phone going shut down!!! Than I hanged up an blocked number.. SO BIG WARNING SCAMS!!
Today, I received a call from someone who struggled to speak English. They claimed that there were transactions on my Amazon account, which raised my suspicions, and I hung up as it seemed like a scam.
Told me they were from visa and had I spent a certain amount on Amazon account I don’t have Amazon.
I received a voice message from a woman with an American accent who claimed to be calling from a security department. She asked me to confirm a $14.99 charge for an Amazon subscription and a $700 transaction for a Western Union overseas transfer. I checked my bank statements and credit card transactions, and there were no such charges or transactions present.
The caller did not leave a message, which I believe is a scam tactic. I warn everyone to be cautious of this number!
Much the same as others here. The call to my mobile shows as coming from Bathurst, but no message left. Will be blocking.
