I received a call from what turned out to be a robocall, which falsely claimed that I had a fraudulent transaction on my VISA card. After checking, I confirmed it was definitely a scam call.
I am confused as to why I receive repeated calls from this number, only for the caller to hang up as soon as I answer. I will be blocking this number to prevent further annoyance.
This call featured a recorded message pretending to be from "your Visa or Mastercard provider," which I suspect is a scam.
I've also received three calls from this number, which contacted both my landline and mobile phone, but they did not leave any message each time.
My mobile provider identifies this number as likely scam. Didn't answer.
Scam robo call "This is PayPal we've just received a payment request for $799 for retail purchases - press 1 if you wish to immediately dispute this amount...". So sick of these calls.
This call is from a company named Diamond Plaza. Since I have no interest in purchasing diamonds, I suspect this is a scam call and plan to block the number.
Received another scam call from the Bathurst region, with the caller pretending to represent PayPal. It appears there is an active group of scammers in this area, as I reported a similar incident last week.
I have been receiving multiple calls from different numbers (5303 1749, 5303 1873, 5303 1841) all originating from the Bathurst area. The phone barely rings long enough for me to answer, and I never receive any voicemails. I’m fed up with these annoying scam calls.
Automated call & Computerised Voice.
"Calling from your "Visa and Mastercard Department"
This is the third call I've received from numbers with the 5303 prefix, which I believe is from Bathurst. The phone barely rings long enough for me to answer, and no messages are ever left. I'm inclined to believe these are scam callers, just like the previous two, and it's really annoying.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
