I receive daily calls from numbers beginning with 02 5303xxxx. My phone identifies them as possible spam, so I've chosen not to answer them. Based on other users' comments, I’m relieved that I have not engaged with these calls.
I believe this call was a scam. The caller mentioned something about a passport error and prompted me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. I decided to hang up.
I received a call from a number based in Bathurst, NSW. The call was clearly a scam; the caller said hello and then abruptly started speaking in Hindi. I ended the call immediately. This is not an uncommon scam scenario.
I am puzzled why the telecommunications company has not shut down this number yet. It seems like they might be turning a blind eye to the fact that this number is involved with scams.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Telstra, regarding updating my connection from public to private. They wanted me to open a Google account to see the details they were discussing. I asked them to send an email to Foxtel regarding the issues instead, and then I hung up.
This call is definitely a scam, so I recommend ignoring it and not calling back.
I received a call from a different phone number in Bathurst today. I let it ring out. The last time I answered a similar call, there was no one on the line, and they hung up.
Someone called me claiming to be from my bank and asked for my Visa card details. When I prompted for the card number, they couldn't provide it. This makes me think they're Indian scammers, so I ended the call.
I answered a call from this number, but the caller immediately hung up without saying anything. It was silent, and I believe this is a number I should block. I'm tired of receiving these annoying calls!
I received a call from the number (02) 5303 1645, and the caller began speaking awkwardly, starting with "respected customer." The call was unclear and seemed suspicious, so I hung up and immediately blocked the number.
Based on previous user reports about this number, it is evidently a scam caller.
Every day, I receive a call starting with "I'm calling from Telstra," which has become very repetitive and bothersome. I have blocked the number.
I do not answer calls from unknown numbers. My phone identified this call as coming from Bathurst, and since I have no reason to receive a call from there, I blocked the number.
I received a typical scam call with an automated voice stating that there was a purchase of $799 made under my name. When I probed for the name associated with the purchase, the caller couldn't provide it, revealing that it was a scam. I confronted him, and he resorted to insults when I pointed out their deceit.
I received a call from this number, but they hung up immediately after I answered. It seems suspicious to me. Is this a scam?
This number calls my phone every day but never leaves a message. I suspect it is a scam call due to the repeated nature of the calls.
The caller identified themselves as being from Telstra and stated that I would receive a discount for being a good customer. They claimed they would send me a code. I was advised not to share the code they texted, as it appears they are trying to gain access to my Hotmail account. This practice is disgraceful.
Beware of this scam! The caller will pretend to be from Telstra and offer you a discount. They will ask you to provide a 6-digit code, which is actually a reset code for your email. Do not share this code, as it allows them to take control of your email and any online accounts linked to it.
The caller claimed that a third party was using my internet connection, which raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of the call.
My antivirus software flagged this number as spam. I blocked my number and called them back, but the call resulted in an electronic message indicating that the voicemail box was full.
