I did not answer when they called, and when I tried to call back, nobody picked up. This strongly suggests that it may be a scam.
I received a call purportedly from the VISA or Mastercard department asking for my authorization on a payment request. The automated message prompted me to press 1 to report it as fraudulent or 2 to approve it. I chose not to press either option, as it felt suspicious.
I did not answer the call because it was from an unknown interstate number. The call rang three times before hanging up, and no voicemail was left. I have now blocked this number.
Scam call asking for a PayPal payment authorization.
A caller from this number pretended to represent PayPal and demanded $999. They prompted me to press 1 to report the scam. I quickly hung up, as I never use PayPal.
The caller abruptly hung up as soon as I answered the phone.
I received a call that used a "Siri"-like voice claiming to be from PayPal, with the call supposedly coming from Bathurst. This raises red flags of a fraudulent attempt.
An automated message was received from this number purporting to be PayPal, stating that someone had made an online purchase totaling $900. This is definitely a scam!
Received a call from a number associated with Bathurst. I did not answer the call, and the caller left no voicemail. I suspect this could be a scam based on the lack of communication.
Answered as was waiting for a call from that area and was scam, automatic voice, didn't listen it and I hung up.
Called few times then discontinued. Did not leave a message. Where are we living at? Smh.
The caller's location was Bathurst, and they hung up after ringing three times. I live in Queensland.
A number from Bathurst called my mobile but did not leave a message. When I returned the call, I was told I was eighth in the queue. After waiting, I eventually was connected only to be hung up on without any communication. Seems like classic spammers to me.
Don't know anyone from Bathurst, they did not leave a message so obviously a scam.
