This number called me just now and pretended to be from Vodafone, offering discount for my mobile plan at 40%. Then, hanged up on me when I am unable to provide details of my account because I pretended I didn’t have all the info at the moment. I know right away it was a scam call and wasted away 8mins of that scammers time hopefully saved some folks during that 8min window.
Reposted just to add that it was a lady with an Indian accent.

I believe this is a scam. The caller claimed to be from Telstra regarding my Internet service. However, when I questioned the legitimacy, the caller promptly hung up.
Recorded call in English and Chinese saying to press 1 for further details! Obviously a scam.
Suspicious Call Claiming to be from Telstra.
They called with "0424 698 797" and once I hang up, they call again with this number (08 9746 2352).
Received a call from this number. Caller identified herself as a Telstra employee and advised me that my Internet IP Address has changes from private to public. Somehow she knows my number and full name.
Proceeded to ask me when I used the internet last to which I replied that I was using it now.
They also asked me to download the app called "AnyDesk Remote Desktop". Yep, it's totally scam.
She called herself with europian name (such as Sophia), but accent was clearly from South Asia.
Claimed to be from Telstra and that they had received suspicious signals from my ip address. Asked me to tell him what lights were on on my modem. He claimed my computer had been hacked and I needed to follow his instructions on my computer. I pointed out he had not verified who I was and he said we could do that if I want. I told him thats not how it works and if he isn't a scam than give me a case number and I will ring Telstra back and use that case number. He said we could do that but then proceeded to ask me to get on my computer again. I told him to give me the case number, he repeated we could do that but again asked me to just quickly go to my computer. At this point I ripped in to him very loudly then whistled really loudly and high pitched until he hung up on me. Blocked the number then googled it. Guess I was right lol.
I received a call from (08) 9746 2352, but when I answered, there was no one on the other end of the line. I could hear a lot of background noise, which leads me to believe this is spam.
They said they were calling from Commonwealth Head Office about the suspicious transaction of $400 to California. When I said I did not even have an account with Commonwealth, they asked if I still had made the transfer. When I called them up on the scam, they denied it. I said I would hang up and call Commonwealth myself, to which they wished me a nice day and hung up.
I let the call go to voicemail, and no message was left. I assume this is a scammer trying to avoid detection.
Received a call from this number this morning. Caller identified herself as a Telstra employee and advised me that my Internet IP Address has changes from private to public. Proceeded to ask me when I used the internet last to which I replied that I was using it now.
She then hung up the phone and I've now blocked the number.
I received a call from an Indian person in Western Australia, who was discussing a $600 charge related to my Visa/Mastercard. When I asked for details about which card they were referring to, they provided incorrect information. This is clearly a scam.
Scam.
I received a call from an unknown number that I did not answer. They left a voicemail that was garbled and difficult to understand, but it sounded like a call center with many foreign accents in the background.
