The caller was pretending to be a Telstra employee and offered assistance with security, which seems fraudulent.
This individual is a scammer who unfortunately convinced me to part with my money. I've learned a very expensive lesson, and I urge everyone to block any mobile numbers beginning with 0485. It's important to warn others to prevent them from falling victim to these scams. We need to put a stop to this!
The caller presented themselves as a Telstra manager and directed me to a website, but the call originated from two different numbers: (07) 3709 4968 and (07) 3040 6083. When I requested a callback number, he provided 61 390169074, but I chose not to return the call.
Supposed Telstra help Guy.
Please be on your toes with this number, a foreign guy tried to get me to download AnyDesk app, this would give him access to my computer. His reason for this was that Telstra Technicians had to have access to my network to take it from public to private, which is quite funny seeing I have a VPN and that my IP address is virtual. So be aware! Block this number.
An Indian lady called me claiming to be from Telstra, stating that my internet service was compromised. It's funny because I'm actually with Optus! She quickly realized I wasn't falling for her misleading claims and hung up on me. Additionally, there were many people talking in the background, which made her seem even less credible. It’s clear she was trying to scam me but failed miserably!
This caller tried to convince me to update my IP address because they claimed it had been changed to a public one and offered assistance to secure it. However, I am not even a Telstra customer! I recommend blocking this number to avoid any potential scams.
Have no idea who this is.
Received a call from this number but no voicemail was left. Since I don't recognize the number, I suspect it's a scam and have blocked it.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra and informed me that my credit card had been compromised through the internet. Luckily, I recognized this as a potential scam and ignored it.
The caller did not leave a voicemail. My phone's security system flagged this number as potential fraud, which is concerning.
Be cautious with this number! A man with a foreign accent attempted to persuade me to download the AnyDesk app, claiming that Telstra Technicians required access to my network to change it from public to private. This seemed absurd since I use a VPN and have a virtual IP address. I strongly recommend blocking this number for your safety!
