While isolating at home due to Covid, I encountered a scam caller. A young woman with an Indian accent claimed to be from Telstra's technical department. She put me on hold to speak with a 'supervisor' who bombarded me with fast, irrelevant information. The call ended when she hung up on me without resolution.
I had an amusing encounter with what I believe to be a scam caller. I played along for about 15 minutes, pretending to be a Russian spy named Karol Dimltkov from Vladivostok. The caller seemed eager for information, even confirming my fake name and date of birth, but was confused when I provided a nonsensical email address. Unfortunately for her, it was a joke address that included a derogatory term in Russian.
This caller claimed to be from the technical department of Telstra, but I have doubts about their legitimacy.
I didn’t answer the call, and no message was left. After looking up the number, I discovered it is associated with Maitland, South Australia—thank you for the information!
