I received a call from someone claiming to represent Telstra, saying they were conducting maintenance on my account. The caller was very aggressive, insisting that I provide my personal details. I repeatedly refused to disclose any information, and eventually, the caller thanked me for wasting her time and hung up.
Scam: saying from Telstra... They were not from Telstra.
I received a malicious and fraudulent phishing call pretending to be from Telstra. The caller ID was spoofed. Please do not give any personal or financial information to this caller.
This is a scam. If you tell the caller that you plan to report their number, they will usually hang up immediately.
SCAM BEWARE!
Claimed to represent Telstra, stating that their system is undergoing maintenance, and they needed some 'personal info' to prevent my account from being terminated. I straight up asked if this is a scam, and the caller denied it. I responded that I have no accounts with Telstra, none! Therefore, I accused the caller of partaking in a scam. She responded that this is 'no big deal', to which I replied that it most certainly IS a big deal. She then hung up. Luckily I have no Telstra accounts, so the red flag was obvious.
A woman called, asking for my name to check my account. When I requested her to provide the name she had on file for me, she was unable to give any details. This seems to be a SCAM.
I confronted the caller from this number about their intentions, but they abruptly hung up on me. I am certain this is a scam.
