Details from Users

One user reported an interaction on 25 July 2022, describing the caller as an "Indian lady" who offered an enticing deal of a 50% discount on calls for six months. Indian lady claiming to be from Telstra (caller ID came up as unknown and she provided this number). She was offering 6 months 50% discount on calls and just needed to confirm personal details. When challenged she became quite insistent and said she had sent a text from Telstra which was not received. I asked he to stop calling and then did not answer.6 attempts later I answered and told her to stop calling. After 2 more attempts she finally stopped. This has been reported elsewhere and seems tpo be an attempt to verify personal data for identity theft. Others have reported their email password was changed shortly after the call and Telstra reset it for them. Beware!

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (08) 8813 2200 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
