Received a missed call from this number. Didn't pick up though, feeling a bit uneasy because I'm not sure how they snagged my digits!
I received a cold call from a company claiming to 'select' my number to offer a discounted phone. They know nothing about their customers and are requesting personal details such as my full name, date of birth, and address. This raises a red flag, as I suspect this could either lead to receiving an unwanted phone or even worse—being scammed and losing money.
I received a call from this number at 2 PM today. When I answered, there was no one on the line, despite my attempts to greet them twice. Instead, I could hear a loud commotion in the background with multiple voices talking. After about 10 seconds of silence from my end, they hung up. Given the excessive noise, it seemed impossible for the caller to hear anything. Unsure of their identity, I researched the number here. Thanks for the warnings; I have now blocked the number.
I got a call this afternoon where the caller claimed I had been selected to receive a "free smartphone." This clearly sounds like a scam, so I hung up immediately.
I received a scam call in which the caller attempted to sell me a phone at half price. When I began to ask questions about the offer, the caller became rude and unprofessional. I found their behavior unacceptable and have since blocked the number.
I missed the call, but when I called back, a woman with an Indian accent answered, claiming to represent a mobile phone company. This is definitely a scam.
I had a conversation with a woman, who had an Indian accent, claiming she was offering a half-price phone deal. When I suggested it sounded like a scam, she insisted that her company was legitimate. However, when I pressed her for the company's name, she abruptly hung up. The number used for this call was later changed to (08) 8125 7978, which I suspect is also associated with scam activity.
Definitely a scam. Didn’t leave a message and phone was disconnected when I called back.
Showed up as a missed call, but my phone didn't ring.
Didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a message either! Called back but the number wasn’t working. Definitely a scam.
Received phone call from a female stating that I won a smart phone and requested to confirm details. I asked her to tell me my details since I've won! And I will confirm them. She hung up.
A call from 'David' at a 'smart phone company'.
Dodgy.
The caller phoned my company provided mobile number saying they are from a smart phone company and my number has been approved for a new smartphone. They are likely to be scammers.
