I was contacted by a woman with an Indian accent representing an energy auditing company from New South Wales. I sensed where the call was heading and politely said "SORRY" before hanging up.
SCAM caller. Block them.
I answered the call, but they didn’t respond to me. I could hear that they were in a busy call center, with multiple people claiming to represent different companies. I strongly suggest hanging up on them!
A lady with an Indian accent called me claiming to be from Telstra. She said there was high-level activity on my Internet account and offered to help fix it. However, our modem had just died, and we currently have no internet connection, which makes me believe this is a scam attempt.
A caller from this number identified themselves as a visa scam caller and addressed me as "dear visa card member." This strongly indicates it's a scam call.
