Said they were from visa card security and ask for last 4 digits on Cr Card. Scammers.
I was contacted by a scammer who asked me about my NBN internet bandwidth.
Scammer.
I keep receiving calls from the same aggressive man who wants me to read a text code sent to my phone to change my Outlook account number. He has contacted me repeatedly, 10 times in total, using a range of numbers, which include: (02) 9071 0209, (02) 4408 6233, (02) 7251 9509, (08) 7092 2534, (02) 9071 0222, (02) 7251 9501. His persistence and aggression are extremely disturbing.
The call claimed to be from Telstra, and the caller said they were located in Sydney. However, I’m not a Telstra customer, and the number is registered from South Australia, which makes me think it's a scam.
Another scam... Something about visa, called back, but was a hangup.
The caller said they missed a phone call from me and was returning the call as requested. I strongly believe this is a scam, given the strange nature of the call.
The caller mentioned Visa and MasterCard while trying to persuade me to make a payment over $1000. This strongly indicates a scam attempt.
I got a call that claimed to be from my credit card company. The automated voice prompted me to press 1 to confirm a payment over $1000, which raised my suspicion.
I have been receiving numerous calls from unknown numbers and did not answer them. None of the callers left a voicemail. The calls are coming from a state where I do not have any contacts, so I assume these could be scam calls. I have since blocked the number.
Telstra Scam caller.
I chose not to answer this call, and as there was no voicemail left, I suspect it is a scam.
I experienced a similar situation where I almost fell victim to a scam! A call came in, and they didn't leave any message, which made me suspicious.
I wouldn't pick up the call from this number as I don’t live near the area they called from. They did not leave a message, which further makes me suspicious that they might be a scammer.
I received a call claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank. However, the tone and nature of the conversation indicated that it was likely a scam.
This was a scam call where they claimed to be from a security department regarding an unusual bank transaction of $600 to someone named James Smith. The call quality was very poor, making it difficult to hear the details before they abruptly ended the call.
The caller claimed to be contacting me regarding NBN connections and asked me to confirm if I was the bill payer. When I informed them that I wasn't, they abruptly hung up.
The caller hung up immediately when they realized I didn't believe their story, confirming my suspicion that it was a scam attempt.
Is it fair to assume that every call coming from an automated service is a scam? This is not just a rhetorical question; I genuinely want to know what others think.
They just rang me, again, but didn't leave a message,
They just called me but didn't leave a message.
This number called me and didn’t leave a message. I’m assuming it is some kind of scam.
