I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from my internet service provider, who informed me that my internet was down. They mentioned they were located in India. I found this amusing since my internet is working perfectly fine. It seems like a scam attempt, especially given the current global internet issues.
I got a call from someone saying that I had an outstanding amount to pay for either Mastercard or Visa. This is definitely a scam. I'm frustrated with these scammers and hope they face justice and reimburse those they’ve scammed.
I received another call from this same number today, but it wouldn't allow me to return the call. I'm convinced it must be a scam.
Got a call from this number left no message seems sus.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank, attempting to confirm an overseas transaction. However, I don't have an account with them, so I'm certain this was a scam call.
It was a scam message left from someone claiming to be PayPal. I have blocked this number for good measure.
This call was a complete scam! The caller informed me that I am eligible for a 50% discount on my Telstra bill, but I’m not even a Telstra customer.
I just received a missed call from this number, which I suspect is associated with scammers.
Scam caller.
I've received two calls from this number over the last two days. They hang up without leaving a message when I answer. I don't recognize the number, so I suggest not answering, as they are likely scammers.
Although I didn’t answer the call, they left a voicemail that was unclear. It sounded like they were saying “baba.”
I got a call from this 08 07 number, and since I have no connections in Adelaide, I immediately blocked it. It’s frustrating that telecommunications companies aren’t protecting us better; this number clearly appears to be associated with scammers and should be blocked by them.
Please be cautious with this unlisted number, as it is likely another spoofed number used by cybercriminals. I did not recognize it, so I let it ring out without answering, and no message was left.
I received two missed calls on my mobile phone, and they did not leave a message, which feels suspicious to me.
I received a robocall from a supposed credit card provider, which appears to be a scam aimed at stealing personal information.
I received a robocall that mentioned both Mastercard and Visa before I hung up to avoid any potential scams.
I chose not to answer the call as my phone identified it as a fraud caller. They left a message claiming to be from the Visa Mastercard division and insisted that I owed $1003 that needed to be paid. They asked me to press #1 to clear the debt. Clearly, this was a scam, and I blocked the number afterward.
A woman called me speaking rapidly. I could hear music in the background and she claimed to be from the Australian government, stating that I was eligible for a reimbursement for money I lost in a scam two years ago. She had access to a substantial amount of personal information, which made me feel uneasy. I hung up when she asked me to download an app.
Scam.
I answered this call thinking it was a work colleague, but the person on the other end spoke very poorly in English. What alarmed me the most is that they knew my name! I'm fed up with these scammers, and I believe telecom providers need to do more to prevent such incidents.
Similar to a previous report, I have received numerous scam calls about NBN connections, Amazon Prime, and eBay security from this number.
I received a call from this number at 9:34 am, which I suspect to be from scammers based on my past experiences.
When I answered the call, an automated voice informed me that I had missed a call from my internet provider. This is clearly untrue since I answered the phone! I suspect it’s a scam.
The voicemail I received warned me that my NBN service would be disconnected and instructed me to press 1 to contact a technician. This seems highly suspicious.
Received a call from this interstate number at 5:30 PM but chose not to answer it.
An unknown number called me, but they did not leave any message, which raises my suspicion.
