I got the same about tax fraud...
Got this call today and an animated message stating that I have committed tax fraud. I didn't let it continue as I knew straight away that this is a load of BS!
What the hell is with people who do this kind of BS! It really pisses me off that there are those kind of people out there!
Got the call today Tax fraud, owing money, arrest and detention for 72hrs I reported this to ATO.
Got a recorded computer generated message saying I could face criminal charges if I didn't return call.
Yep, got same. Called that number prefixed with 1831 (to hide my number) and it rang for a while - no answer. The ring tone was definitely not Australian. They probably saw my call as 'unknown' or 'private', so no answer.
Voice recording rang from this number & claimed to be ATO with a tax fraud suit against me.
