The same has happened to me but they have called four times now so I returned the call from a private blocked number and spoke to a guy who further reiterated they wete in adelaide. I said no worries I know that and I have had an accident. I followed it by your colleague made an appointment at your offices but ive lost your address. He hung up.

Had a call today from "first response" asking about a recent car accident I'd had. They had my first name and address so I assumed they were legit. Started sounding dodgy when I told them I was not injured and they basically told me to lie and say I was so I could claim $25.000 in compensation. I said I had to go and she was going to call back. In the meantime I did a bit of research and found out they are scammers. When she called back I said "your number is listed as a scammer please take my details off your system" and well... She didn't like that very much.. A legit company would respond professionally, she did not.. Just beware.

Yes call from this number on Mon 12th June 4.15pm Public Holiday in SA... Hello is that *my name* and silly me said yes! He said his name was Paul calling from First Response and had I had a car accident in the last 12 mths. I was silent for a few seconds trying to absorb what was happening and then said I was a bit confused about the phone call and they hung up. He had a very British accent. After reading the comments on this page Im hoping my 'yes' response to my name hasn't landed me in hot water!

Told me I had an accident one minute I was driving, but when I said I don't have car then told me I was a passenger. This guy had plenty of time on his hands I spoke to him for ages including me being very rude, swearing, everything to try and get him to hung up and never call again. He now says he will call me again.

This is the first time I have spoken to a person that actually speaks and is english, unlike the previously contacted by this number normally asian speaking persons.

They have details assuming as I do competitions thus is where information is from.

I had a call I missed from this number and it said 08 7070 6172. I tried to call back and it was busy busy busy. I'll put it down to scammers using a VOIP phone. Oddly I had a call about a year ago about an accident that involved a car I hadn't owned for two years that was no longer registered, and hadn't been for over a year. Seems it was involved in a mysterious accident only 6 months earlier. I never even confirm my name unless I know who is calling me and I know who they are.
