I'm uncertain about the purpose of the call I received, and I didn't realize it was a scam until I noticed the call originated from an 08 area code.
I accidentally answered the call and it turned out to be a solar power scam. There was significant background noise typical of a call center, and the caller knew my name, which made it concerning.
The caller hung up as soon as I answered, and of course, it happened right at dinner time (6 PM).
I picked up the call, but the caller immediately hung up without saying anything.
