A woman called, introducing herself as a representative from CareFlight. I asked her to remove my number from their list and then hung up the phone.
I receive calls from similar numbers every day, and each time it's slightly different. This relentless harassment has made me stop donating to charities because I believe they sell our phone numbers. It's incredibly frustrating!
I received calls from the number (08) 6144 6231 every day this week, but none of them rang on my mobile phone. The caller did not leave any voicemail messages. After reviewing similar reports on this forum, I decided to block the number and categorize it as spam.
I appreciate the information shared about this caller. I also participated in a quiz they advertised and strongly regret it. I won’t make this mistake again.
Thank you for providing useful information regarding calls from this number. I was unaware of things like "agent numbers" until now. I prefer not to ignore calls from known numbers, but this particular number has a habit of not leaving voice messages and calls me frequently. Once again, I appreciate your insights!
Definitely being used by a scammer. Don’t answer. Block number. Claiming to be from Careflight. Don’t give credit card details or other donations. Contact Careflight direct if you want to donate to them.
As noted earlier, the caller claimed to represent "Careflight," but I strongly suspect it is a scam. They are potentially looking to solicit donations while trying to drain your bank account. I have blocked this number to prevent further contact.
This is a legitimate approach for charities to obtain new Regular Givers. Telemarketing campaigns have a high success rate, second only to face-to-face appeals. If you suspect the call might be a scam, politely ask for the caller's agent number and the name of the company, then verify by contacting the charity directly.
I receive calls from this number almost every day, and it's becoming increasingly irritating. I wish the authorities would take action against these incessant spam calls. This situation demonstrates the invasion of privacy I’m experiencing.
I have been receiving persistent calls from this number, and it has become quite bothersome. I am looking for an official complaint channel to address the issue so that I can finally have some peace from these calls.
I received a call from (08) 6144 6231, but the caller hung up as soon as I answered. I've seen others claim this number is from a charity, but it's hard to verify their true identity. Please be aware; it could easily be a scammer pretending to be from a charity to steal personal information.
I frequently receive calls from this number but they never leave a message. It seems like they might be making unsolicited charity cold calls.
I participated in a competition on Facebook to win a free helicopter flight. However, there was no indication that entering the competition would lead to them calling me to ask for donations. I feel misled and do not appreciate this kind of marketing.
This number rings my phone but disconnects before I can respond. My phone identifies it as spam.
I received a call today from the Garvin Group, and since then, I have been inundated with calls from various charities. This has become quite annoying as I prefer to choose which charities I support on my own.
This caller claimed to be soliciting donations for CareFlight. After I completed a quiz about CareFlight on Facebook, they reached out asking for money. It feels suspicious as I don't recall providing my contact details for such requests.
This number has called me at least 8 times over the last three days. It's clearly part of a scam operation that has become quite bothersome.
This number belongs to a charity that ran a competition and collected participants' phone numbers. Since then, they have been calling me constantly. I regret entering their competition because they never leave a message when they call.
I am receiving constant phone calls from multiple different numbers. When I asked them where they obtained my number, they claimed I filled out a quiz. I denied having given consent for these calls and mentioned that it is a breach of privacy. I prefer to donate to charities on my own terms and will not be pressured into a membership by someone reading from a script.
The call I received was flagged as "suspected spam." I chose not to answer it and have now blocked the number.
The voicemail left by the caller consisted of a strange male laughter, which I found to be quite creepy and unsettling.
