I also received a scam call related to McAfee. It was definitely a scam attempt.
I received an email threatening that my account would be charged for antivirus software. The email included this phone number to call if I hadn’t subscribed. I suspect this is a scam.
Just received email for $149 Mcaffee which is the worst AV I ever used. It is scam email and phone.
Received an email supposedly from McAfee asking me to confirm payment of $419. I don't have a subscription with McAFee. Phone number in the email is +61 8 6007 3401. Email was sent in bulk to undisclosed recipients. Blocking same.
Phishing email McAfee scam. Says PayPal gonna take $419 dollars. And to call this number for McAfee customer support to confirm. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.
I got a message stating that if I didn't want to be automatically charged for McAfee via PayPal, I should call their number. This appears to be a scam, as legitimate companies typically do not handle billing issues this way. Stay cautious!
Phishing scam number. Message along the lines of "$419 has been charged to your PayPal account.. Call the number if you want a refund" etc.
Received another phishing email today claiming that $419 would be debited to my account for a McAfee renewal unless I called this number.
