Received a call from this number today, I was driving so didn't answer. They did not leave a message.

Missed call and they left no message, so a lucky escape!

They were trying to sell me insurance.

I have had 2 missed calls in as many days from this number and no message was left. I never answer calls I don't know and after reading previous comments, glad to see my attitude is justified.

I have had a couple of missed calls from this number in the last couple of days.

Thanks to the other comments I have no intention of returning the calls to these people.

Gees these people never give up.2 calls today but diff numbers. Now this number called what is wrong with these people. They really need a life if all they have to do 24/7 is anoy peple. I got a call from this number this morning, I didn't answer but if they call back I will answer and see what they say, now that I know to be careful.

This number called me a couple of times a week for the past month. Never picked up but my friend did when they called him. It's a scam.

Got a call from this number. My cell number is limited to the banks I use and family member. This is a spam number.

Said Hello this is Ray from the Australian Contact Centre - I said NO THANKS, GOODBYE, as I NEVER give my mobile number to ANYONE and they obviously were just ringing random numbers.

This number just called me and was asking for personal information to join me up for "Life Insurance".

The lady I was speaking to then proceeded to be rude when I told her I wasn't giving her my information because I didn't know anything about her company or why is was so important I have her my details now and not when I got back home. (Not on holidays!!!!).

I think this is a spam and as I don't live in QLD and am staying here on holidays, to answer everyone's questions I believe they may have gotten my number via Location Services on my iPhone 6 as they were turned on.

Weird as, I just blocked there number.

It's a simple solution to dealing with these kinds of idiots.

I just received a call on my work mobile number from this number and I rarely provide this number to anyone so I was shocked to receive a call, after hours, from interstate.

They hung up when I answered.

Tried calling back, they indicated they are offering insurance and could not explain why the initial call hung up. I also advised them that my number is on the "do not call register" and I suggest they refrain from calling again, otherwise I would advise the relevant authority. Lets see if they call again.

Started getting calls from this no. To mobile after email from Kmart a couple of weeks ago advising that my contact details were some of those that were hacked.

(Also calls from Tunisia just for good measure and fake AusPost emails all since the kmart hack.).

I think it is a spam or telemarketing scheme. As they have been ringing my young son at some odd hours. Very early in the morning, recently. How did they get my son's mobile number? Very worrying. I rang and an answering machine put me on hold, I think they mentioned they are some form of a call centre. Do not trust them. They are a nuisance call or spam or scam. Needs reporting!

My son who is still a young teenager keeps getting calls from this number early in the morning like 5:30 am. Over the last few days. As a mother, I am concerned. We do not know who this number belongs to.

I keep getting this number calling me in class. I call the. M back at the end of the day but it says they put it on hold!!

I got a call from this number, she says before we get on with this call am I over 18... I replied, how about you tell me what the call is about first before I tell you my age... She just replied are you over 18, so I hung up.

Rang me saying they were from the "Australian Contact Centre" asking if I was interested in any insurance policies from InsuranceLine. I wasn't, but it did remind me to put my mobile number on the Do Not Call Register...

I received a phone call from this number @ 1541pm on the 23/9/15. No message was left. I had a missed call on my mobile. I will be watching for anymore phone calls from this number in the future.

Got this call today, I answered it but they did not speak and hung up the phone.

I just had a missed call on my mobile from this number (its now 1:30pm QLD) and decided to websearch it to be safe, thank goodness I found this. Im just going to block the number. I get this crap from different numbers every day so over it.

I've had this number call my mobile 3 or 4 times in the last week. Just let it go to voice mail - never left message etc. Checked here. Now adding my mobile to the Do Not Call register (already have home phone on it).

To me it seems like a spam number or something like that so I'd recommend not answers. :).

This person has called me twice in a row - 16th and 17th of sept around 10am. I never picked up and they never left a message. I just blocked them.

This is a scam of some sort of Phishing process I'm sure of it reading the comments above...

Im a student and I got called in the middle of a class so I didn't pick up, they left a voice message and it was an aussie guy said he was from some call centre company or something but ive never heard of them and don't know why they would be calling me.

So this number continues to call my household numerous times. The first time they got my partner claiming they were calling to enquire about the home phone and internet connection (which we literally just got connected a few days ago so my partner thought there was a problem), the Indian man on the phone went straight into asking for birth date, address, etc. My partner never gave out details, and just asked what the name of the company was the Indian bloke worked for. The Indian guy said 'Telstra' and my partner told him we didn't have an account with Telstra, the Indian man butted in and said 'yes, but Telstra owns your lines'. So my partner asked to be forwarded onto a manager a requested the Indian mans name and position at Telstra and he hung up pretty quickly.

When I got home they phoned again, being a new phone and only a few relatives have my phone number so I thought I was getting a call from a loved one. Turns out to be some Indian woman claiming that we are eligible for an internet service upgrade, and I quote, "because we have had a Telstra home phone for over 8 years and a 200Gb per month home internet plan." As I mentioned above, this phone was connected just a few days ago, and for the past 2 years and 8 months, we have not had a home phone or home internet, we've relied on our mobile phones for contacting the outside world and browsing the internet. So I told her that, and she said there was a mistake and she knows her information is correct as she can see it on her computer, I told her we were not with Telstra and she says to me 'Telstra owns the lines', and continues to crap on about how our service will be upgraded to unlimited calls bar international and out internet will have unlimited data usage with a top speed of 20Mb/sec. I tell her that I am not interested and that when we deal with our internet company they identify themselves and the company they're from prior to talking to us as she has done, and she hangs up. She also knew our names (sort of), she was calling me Mrs Smith, but that is my partners surname, not mine. We're not married.

I got another call a few minutes later, and all I could hear was someone shouting in Indian and I could not make out what it was, but it was a man and he sounded angry, so I hung up.

Next time they call I'll be hanging up. I'm happy with my internet plan.

Just got a call from this mob during my Lunch break. Was not impressed.

He's name was Tom from some Insurance company that I missed catching the name of.

I played the Telstra Card after he said he was tom and he quickly hung up.

Tom - Hi this is Tom from some Insurance company.

Me - Who is this?

Tom - This is tom from such and such Insurance.

Me - You just called Telstra's complaints department.

Tom - Oh so sorry... BEEP BEEP BEEP and the call hangs up.

I'll start off with saying there was a 1 - 2 second delay and the so called "Tom" had a Indian accent.

I suggest if you guys want to get rid of this mob you need to play the Telstra card. Don't do anything too risky. Just say you are from Telstra's Complaints department and this call is being recorded and monitored for safety purposes. This method should get them hanging up quick smart.

Got a Call this morning from the same number. He said... "this call is being recorded..." and I told him that "no I do not want the call recorded"... He said that is not possible and hung up! Why ask the option of not wanting to be recorded if you can't comply. Pretty dodgy.

Just answered a call from this number - Australia Contact Service or something. After her introduction she told me that the call was being recorded so I said that I was at work and if it wasn't important I didn't have time - she replied in a very rude manner 'oh, well I'll let you go then' so I just said 'thanks' and she hung up! Bit cheeky to be rude about it when she rang me!! haha.

Just received a call from this number today also! Relieved I didn't answer, as I see it is from a contact centre? Judging from all the comments.

I received a call from this number today (09/09/2015) and the lady stated she was from the 'Australian Contact Centre'. She then tried to sell me insurance. Obviously someone is selling my contact information. I told them not to call again and I'm not interested. Lets see how that goes. Just another stupid marketing scheme peeps =)).

Yeah this number has tried to call me 01SEP and again on 05SEP. If it was important they would have left a message. Don't answer it.

They call you ans hang up so you csll them back and they charge you a shit tone for the call.

The guy on the other end said he had some sort of "Message" But would not say anymore.

So U played a Game of Pretend to Yell at the Family, It scared the other guy on the end that he hung up with not much else to say.

Surprise folks! Just got a call from this number 07 5631 9025, did a quick search on Google and thankfully I found this site. Surely it must be a telemarketer.07 area code should be based in Brisbane and surroudings.

Got a call, and they said they also said they were from Insurance Line when I queried. Tried to offer me Funeral Insurance, which was very strange, because I am quite young. Tried to ask me about the type of superannuation I was involved with as well. I wasn't showing too much interest, but I was not rude, however they ended the call extremely sharply towards the end when they said goodbye 'CLICK'.

Must ring in clusters, I just got my missed call now.

Got a call from this number, introduced himself as someone calling from Australian Insurance Agency and when I said sorry, from where, he said wrong number and hung-up. Very Strange.

I got called twice on my mobile on this line, several days apart. Never gave the man on the line any chance to talk. As soon as I heard the noise of the switch (automated dialing by spamers), I hang up, the most he could say was "hello this is".

Got unsolicited call from an overly nice and greasily friendly dude trying to get me insurance. When I asked him how did he get my number, he disconnected immediately.

Introduced himself as Ray, from muffled muffled, then hung up.

I presume he has to make a minimum number of calls per day to meet a target and he just gets through them quickly by speaking for a moment then hanging up.

This number just called my mobile, it rang for 1 or 2 seconds then stopped before I had a chance to answer it.

Told him I wasn't interested and he kept asking me which insurance would benefit me. Then told him I didn't have an income, he became immediately disinterested and terminated the call xD Definite Telemarketer scum.

Rang the above number and heard the message ' You have reached the Australian contact centre enquiry line...' Didn't sound like a scam as I have been dealing with Australian officialdom. The gentleman who answered my call asked how he could help me. I explained how they had called me. He then went on to say how he could help me with insurances that I would no doubt have seen on television. I said I hadn't and was only in the country temporarily.

Got this call just mins ago, nobody I know is using this number, so checked it online. Then found a lot of people had this experienced. I wondered what they want?

Received a cold call from this number regarding life insurance. The lady on the other end told me that they got my number from competition registration forms (I've never entered a competition where my phone number was required).

Had 2 calls from this number, called it back the first time was some lady about "life insurance" being 18 I don't really expect to get life insurance so I kindly declined and she understood, again had a missed call from this number just some phony life insurance mob.

Had multiple calls from the number, have not answered. Thankfully according to comments.

I got called at 4:45pm today(04/08/2015), a woman said I am calling from ...., but I couldn't understand her because she has an Indian or Bangladesh accent. So, I asked her: what did you say, and she reply: sorry, wrong number and hang up.

Called back today, the company has been contracted out by Insurance Line. Offering quotes etc. I wouldn't bother as it's just (what appears to be) cold calling marketing as the operator couldn't answer where he got my number from.

His name is Simon and he calls regarding telling you about insurance, when asked how he got my number he said the white pages or database from a competition. I've asked to be removed from the list. Don't bother calling back it is just a waste of time and nothing important.

It's a telemarketing company, selling life and income insurance. I just picked up a call from the exact same number and the fellow said he's from "Australian Contact Centre Enquiry Line" that translates to a whole heap of vaguely descriptive terms for a call centre.

Received call on 23rd July, they left no message.

I got a call from this number that left no voicemail message at 9:19 am on 23 July 2015.
