Identifying the Threat: 07 5615 9391
The phone number 07 5615 9391 / 0756159391 has been flagged by numerous users as a scam-related call targeted at unsuspecting individuals. Reports indicate that this number is involved in a suspicious operation that poses as a legitimate financial institution.
Nature of the Scam
Victims of this scam report receiving calls claiming there have been recent transactions on their Visa cards that they may want to dispute. The conversation typically progresses with the operator asking probing questions about the user’s banking activities. Alarmingly, they request access to the victim's mobile device by suggesting the installation of software called ANYDESK. This creates a significant vulnerability, granting the caller potential access to personal data and control over the device.
Why You Should Be Cautious
The call is designed to create urgency and confusion, a common tactic used by scammers to manipulate their targets. The request for installing ANYDESK—a remote desktop application—is an unequivocal red flag, as this would allow the caller to gain direct access to your device and sensitive information. It's crucial to recognise that legitimate organisations will never ask customers to download such software under similar pretenses.

Once on to the operator they confirm you don't want the transaction and ask if you have an android or OS device. They will then process to ask you to search for ANYDESK and to install this on your device.
