Got a call from this number listed as the Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland. Did a quick search, and looks like they’re legit but a bit different from the Rural Fire Service Queensland. Better safe than sorry, eh?

This number is associated with SCAMMERS. Do not answer or call back if you receive a call from them.

0754801369 - called today. Phone said it was a private number from Gympie. The man was very nice and said all the right things, even saying the call could be recorded for training. His accent was Australian and he sounded like the guy who volunteers at the Rural Fire Brigade (or his son's footy team, or the Surf Club). I so wanted to believe him but.... can't take the chance any more, scammers are so tricky. Going to go to their website and donate there.

No message left. Probably scammers. I know no one in Gympie.

This seems to be a number for the rural fire service when you ring it, but if it rings you and you answer it the call is immediately disconnected.

A sure sign that somewhere there's a turd that escaped the flushing process using it for spamming/scamming purposes.
