SCAM claimed to be from Telstra and wanted to speed up the internet. Wanted access to computer through Anydesk. BLOCK.
I missed two calls from (07) 5208 7001 and (07) 5208 7002, and neither caller left a message.
Scam call claiming to be Telstra technical department, if you try and call the number it comes back as disconnected.
Definitely a scam, if you call the number back it's disconnected.
Call about Public IP address compromised pretends to be from Telstra. Told I am not with Telstra then he said he is working on the backbone for Telstra but can access via other provider as well. Tried to use remote access to connect to my PC.
When I asked him to give employee details via email - he has never given. When I call this number - it says the number is disconnected!
Scam likely.
Lmao. Indian accent (heaps of call center noise in the background) saying she was calling from Telstra. Apparently my internet is public not private (whatever that means) and I will be in trouble.
Told them I wasn't a customer of Telstra and said she sounds like a scammer and she hung up on me.
Scam caller, said they were from Telstra.
When I suggested I’d call back (Telstra) and ID them as a Telstra staff member they hung up.
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM.
Claims to be Telstra network.
Said I had connection problems with my Internet got to do with my "rotor" lol....
I said I don't use Telstra or have internet with Telstra. He said he knows I don't use it but continue to read a script saying something bout Telstra is connection with internet.
I laughed and said where is my Rotor! He hang up on me...
Ps: Don't give your details. Tell them you would call them back. But call the real Telstra people and inquire always....
Hope this helps.
A scam big time.
If you try to call back then the number can not be connected.
What rubbish.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra's technical department, stating they were calling regarding my internet connection. However, since I do not use Telstra, I expressed this, and the call was abruptly ended.
