Scam Caller ignore and block.
I answered the call, but there was nobody speaking on the line. After a few seconds, they hung up. When I tried to call back from a private landline, it only rang once before I got a busy tone.
My business phone rang, and when I answered it with my usual greeting, I instead got a recorded message that simply said "Good-bye," followed by the call disconnecting. This was both suspicious and frustrating.
The caller is an AI bot named "Jamie," who first verifies if they are speaking to you by name. Upon confirmation, it starts discussing your health insurance policy as though it already has your personal details. This could be related to information leaks from health insurance companies last year. I consider them scammers, and I recommend blocking this number.
This caller is attempting a phishing scam. They sound like they are trying to verify my phone number for the purpose of selling my contact information to other scammers. The number has also been associated with (07) 4866 8126. I urge everyone not to answer this call, but to report and block the number instead.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
