I recently received a call where the person on the line inquired about a Bitcoin account that I supposedly opened back in 2018. Since I have never opened such an account, I quickly hung up. I was quite unsettled that they already knew both my first and last name.
I received a call from what turned out to be a scammer from India claiming that a crypto wallet was in my name. I firmly told him to leave me alone.
I missed a call from this number at a late hour and chose not to answer, as I had no reason to believe anyone would contact me that late. After checking reviews, I see that this number is associated with scam activity, so I'm relieved I didn't pick up.
