Got call yesterday sounded like a call centre said hello could hear people in baackground and hung up on according to another review here its a scam call.
This was a scam call from "Optus" (2nd I've had this week) on my Telstra mobile - but I do have an Optus mobile. Due to my "good history" they were going to put a credit on my "monthly bill". Except my Optus phone is pre-paid, got you there suckers! Last call I asked them to tell me the last 3 digits of my Optus phone number and they hung up on me. Seems to be the current scam.
I have been receiving persistent calls from this number, and it appears to be coming from an offshore call center.
I spoke with a man with a thick Indian accent who reluctantly revealed that he was from "Infinity" and was supposedly calling to collect money I had lost through cryptocurrency investments. This is definitely a scam, as I have never engaged in any cryptocurrency activities.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
