Persistent ongoing scammer calls. Block number.
I received a call from the number (07) 4222 0753. The caller claimed to be from Telstra and mentioned that I could get a 50% discount on my next bill if I acted quickly. When I asked for details about how much my bill would be with the discount, he couldn’t provide an answer. I was driving at the time and eventually decided to hang up.

Scammers trying to gain remote access to your computer by pretending to be calling from Telstra.
These guys called me yesterday (Indian-sounding female) pretending to be calling form Telstra to give me a 40% discount on my service. She knew my name and email address and said that to check that my email address is correct and functional she will send me an email and I must click on the link provided as we are speaking right now so that she can give me further details about the offer. I told her she must be crazy if she thinks I'm going to be clicking on any links from her, let alone as we are speaking. I said if she had an offer to send me she can email it to me on the email address I have just given her, and I will check its legitimacy with the telco. She said ok she will email me - and of course never did. Number blocked.
My phone automatically blocked this call and classified it as spam, implying it may not be a legitimate caller.

A suspicious call from Brisbane, Queensland, where the caller seemed to know a lot about me. They tried to sell me a 50% discount on my Telstra account for being a loyal customer, which raised my suspicions, leading me to hang up immediately.
The caller had an alarming amount of personal information about me. They tried to persuade me that I was eligible for a 50% discount on my Telstra account because of my loyalty as a customer. This felt suspicious, and I was unsure of their intentions.
I suspect this was a fraudulent call. The caller rang me twice from a number based in Cairns.
I regarded this call as potentially fraudulent spam since it showed up as "unknown" on my caller ID and no message was left after the call. I have chosen to block this number for safety.
