The phone number 07 3916 9600 / 0739169600 has raised significant concerns among Australians, with multiple user reports categorising it as a scam call, particularly masquerading as an alert from Vodafone. If you’ve received a call from this number, you’re not alone in feeling suspicious.

Reports indicate that the calls allegedly claim to be from Vodafone, misleadingly warning customers about excessive usage on their accounts. Interestingly, many of the users who reported this number don’t even have an account with Vodafone, leading to the conclusion that this is a classic phishing attempt. Since I silence all unknown numbers, this call went to voicemail. It was a confusing message claiming to be from Vodafone regarding excessive usage on an account that I do not own (I'm actually an Optus customer). They instructed me to press one for English or two for Chinese, which was frustrating. I’ve blocked this number.

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (07) 3916 9600 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
