Have been receiving a few calls from this number to our business over the past week or so. Caller hangs up straight after I finish the introduction without a word. Very frustrating.
Got a call today at 1.20pm from (quote exactly the same as someone else posted) a Male with an accent called from this number saying he was from the "Accident Compensation Fund" and that he had a report of someone on our number filing a claim.
I got a scam call about insurance a couple of weeks ago, so I laughed when he said this, and said I'd report him, and thanks or giving me his number. He was saying something along the lines of "you think you'll get me as I said this. I hung up. I have now added jis number as 'scammer' in my phone. Thank you to the person who suggested this. What really angers me is that my number is silent, and I am extremely careful with it. How are they getting silent numbers?
Caller refused to identify themselves when pressed then hung up.
I had a call from this no. Today - I spoke to the guy - he was VERY inquisitive about our business and said that he was from "Sponsored In" Google Adwords. He was trying to make me sign up with him for an Ad on Google Words "saying if I pay $33.00 per day that I can make some serious money with out website. I was a bit stand offish with him and said, thank you I will ring him back (with no intention!) and since then, he has called twice and will obviously keep calling. He held me up at work for half an hour today going on and on trying to get me to sign up with him but you could tell he wasn't a real sales person! DON"T ANSWER this no.
After getting multiple calls per day from this number over the last few weeks, I think I have at last been able to discover the PURPOSE of this SCAM.
Eventually you will get a call from a different number (for example I got 02 80917676) and they will make out that they are from a Government Dept/Agency or maybe a Company and they will offer you a device to stop/block unwanted calls for say $5 a month - AN OBVIOUS SCAM.
If you have "Caller ID" it is useful in determining if the call is one of these scam calls, if you don't have Caller ID all you can do is contact your Telephone Provider explain the situation, even provide them with the Link to this Webpage if you know how, state your utter annoyance in receiving these calls and that many others are receiving these calls, and demand that something is done about it; at least if they can block this number to your phone no. Or investigate what they can do about it.

Just got a call from this number - Indian sounding man told me he was from the Accident Department & asked if anyone in the home has had a car accident within the last three years. When I said no he apologised for troubling me & hung up. I was a little concerned, so I'm glad I came to this site & read everyone else's comments. Just another scam call.

An Indian sounding woman spoke the first time they rang saying we had accident compensation queries. One other time an Indian sounding man spoke saying he was going to shoot his supervisor for having him continually call our number. Obviously a scam. I now just keep hanging up on them, but they continue.
At 5.59 on 26/9 I had a call from this number. Silence when I first answered then a male with an Indian- sounding accent claimed that he was calling from an Accident Compensation company and that he believed that a person from my address had had an accident recently. He disconnected when I told him this was bulls***t. I called the number back and was told that my call could not be connected, and that I should check the number and try again.

Scam artist. No voice, a beep, someone said they would put me on hold then I waited on the line for a fair while. Called the number back and it said was disconnected.
I too have been copping these calls. You answer phone and no one speaks until you say 'hello' for the fourth time. This time I asked "Can I help you?" and the vague Indian voice says "No, you cannot help me" and hangs up on me. Frustrating.

Yes, I have received 19 calls in the last 45 minutes from these people rining from 32045713. First 14 calls they would just hang up as I would answer with the company name. When they rang the next 5 times (within 30 seconds) of each other I pretended to be someone different each time! Very frustrating!!!

This number has called more than 16 times in a day, an obvious scam. Usually a female with an Indian accent (probably overseas). They claim to be working from a car accident compensation department company saying that they can give back money from the last time I had a car accident. Funny thing is, I don't drive a car. Don't trust these guys - I've already tracked down one of these scam companies down (the scam that claim to be from Microsoft Australia) and these guys were from Ranchi, Jharkhand.

This number calls us at least 4 times a day; when it is rung there is no answer and eventually it disconnects with a sound like a fax machine connection. We have adopted a specific ring sequence for the moment so we know when we are getting a legit call. There has to be something that can be done.

I received a call from this number claiming they were from NSW Compensation.
