Ah, the same thing happened to me! No clue who it was, but definitely left me puzzled!
I received a call from a woman who said I had won some deal on a new smartphone for half price. The background noise was ridiculous! Then she handed over to some bloke who just wouldn't stop pushing for my personal info. I told them I wasn’t keen, and they just hung up. Pure scam – steer clear of this one!
I got a call saying I’d won a ridiculously cheap Chinese smartphone. Seriously, I'd trust Roger Ramsheet and his dodgy rug shop over these scam artists any day. Absolute scum!

I just received a call from this number. Said they are from Commonwealth Bank.
Since I happen to be a CBA customer, but of course did not believe the caller for a second, I said "Are you really from CBA?" and "if you are from the bank, what is my account number?"
The caller freaked out, said "you don't believe I'm from the bank, OK I will freeze your account!" and hung up on me.
