This number is identified as a scam. They left a message containing a suspicious MMS link, so I have decided to block the number.
A scam caller rang me claiming they were from Visa/Mastercard, mentioning that two transactions had been charged to my card and asking for my card verification details. I hung up on these scammers.
Although this number didn't leave a message when they called, I tried to call them back, and the call just cut off. Curious about the number, I searched it online and found this page with user reports.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from PayPal, warning me that a $700 payment would soon be deducted from my account. They instructed me to press 2 to report the payment as fraudulent. It’s hard to believe they think we will fall for such obvious scams!
I was contacted by someone claiming to be from eBay, informing me about a suspicious charge on my account. I believe this is fake and part of a scam.
I received my second call today from someone claiming to be from Telstra, saying they wanted to assist with my internet connection, which they said had switched from private to public (insert eye roll). I told them I recognized their scam and asked them not to call me again. The first call was from the mobile number 0485 863 579, which had no prior reports when I checked. I've since blocked both numbers.
This phone number rang but of course no voicemail. Stay away from calls without voicemail!
Scam caller. Pretending to be Visa Mastercard. Asking if I wanted the eBay and Amazon purchases to be cancelled. He hung up when I asked for the specific dates in question so I could log into my bank account to verify.
I was contacted by someone claiming to be from the security department of Visa Mastercard, stating there were two charges—one from eBay and another from Amazon. They asked if purchases were made by me under the name Mr. Malcolm, and if I wanted to cancel those transactions. When I requested the purchase dates to verify, they abruptly hung up on me!
The message I received claimed to be from PayPal, stating that there are two Apple gift cards in my account totaling $899. When I attempted to return the call, the voicemail box was full. This is clearly a scam!
The caller claimed that it didn’t matter which service provider I was with, as he was the one who could fix everything. I decided to end the call and promptly blocked the number due to this dubious assertion.
Chinese scams infiltrating into Australia, oh well could be worse like another pandemic from them.

After calling this number back, I received a message stating that they would return my call at my earliest convenience, but their voicemail box was full. They did not identify who was calling, leading me to conclude that this number is not trustworthy. I have blocked it.
I keep receiving calls from this number several times a day, and they never leave a voicemail. Additionally, they often call from various other numbers, all beginning with the 07 area code in Brisbane, which seems like a deliberate tactic to overwhelm recipients.
Got this crap call saying Chinese scam line and potential fraud. Block this number.
The Phone Assistant app alerted me that this call was from a suspected Chinese scam caller. I did not answer and there was no message left.
A scam caller with a foreign accent contacted me, attempting to phish for my personal information, which raised my concerns about a potential fraud attempt.
Received call 17/01/2024 afternoon did not answer call.
I received two calls from this number, but they didn't leave any messages on my voicemail. When I tried returning the call, I was informed that their message box is full.
