The caller claimed to be from the NBN (National Broadband Network) and I could hear another person talking in the background. I asked several questions to verify their identity, but they hung up on me when I questioned them further.
My phone tag this as a scam and when the number is called it is a message asking for your name ha ha yeah right.

My phone blocked this number because when I called it back, I was immediately directed to a message asking for my name. I don't trust that at all—definitely not falling for that trick!
I have also reported this number as a scam. After answering the call, I waited in silence and the call ended abruptly without any conversation or voicemail left.
A lying scammer!!
Said they were immigration.
Scam call. For whatever it's worth: this is an invalid umber in the Qld dial plan.
This is definitely a scam; in addition to other concerns, this appears to be an invalid number based on Queensland’s dialing plan.
Definitely a scan. Very. Active at the moment. January/February 2024.
This caller attempted to scam us! They hung up quickly when I started asking questions to delay and search for more information online. The call sounded automated. Thank you to everyone who reports these incidents; it really helps us avoid scams.
I allow calls from numbers in my address book only, so this caller went to voicemail. They claimed to be from Amazon, stating that my bank account had been debited $99.99 for an Amazon Prime membership. Since I have never subscribed to Amazon Prime, I believe this is a phishing attempt aimed at gathering personal information. I have since blocked the number.
Claimed to be Pay Pal, charges of $800. Oo to my card, was a recorded message. Blocked.
I strongly advise against answering this number as it appears to be from another scammer.
Claimed to be from Telstra and was claiming my internet access was insecure. Hung up when I refused to type in check details for IT address.
I received a robocall allegedly from PayPal regarding an $800 payment, which I did not authorize. This scam aims to instill fear about unauthorized transactions.
This caller's behavior perfectly matches a previous report by Thermite on January 18th, 2024. I decided to block the number rather than engage with these wrongdoing offenders.
A caller claimed to be from Telstra, offering a discount that seemed too good to be true. When I asked if they had any documented history regarding my recent inquiries, they didn't respond and simply stated, "Don't worry then" before I hung up because it was clear they were not really representing Telstra.
Scammer multiple hang up calls.
To combat scammers, consider purchasing a telephone number ID device, which can be found in many reputable stores. Scammers often disguise their real numbers, making it crucial to verify callers, as advised by X-Files' character Fox Mulder: "Trust No One."
Scam. Rang up telling me he was from "Telstra" (I am not a Telstra customer) and that my IP address had been downgraded from private to public, and therefore my personal details were now exposed on "the public server". I asked him what my name was and he immediately hung up.
SPAM. Told me that there was a fraudulent transaction for a $500 eBay gift card by someone in California that I could stop by downloading an app.
Answered this number - claimed I had a pmt for $799 from PayPal - Press 1 to report it as a scam.
My phone automatically flagged this call as spam, so I decided to block the number to avoid any further communication from them.
This number appears to have personal information about you, as they seem to call from two similar numbers. I am concerned they may be stealing our information.
Caller left no message - likely scammer.
After this number called me, the call instantly connected to another phone call that also sounded like a scam. It could be that they're piggybacking off fraudulent numbers.
Didn’t answer it as I didn’t know it. Called it back to see what comes up & all there is is a loud beeeep beeeep. So definitely a scam cod answered is my bet.
