Out and out spam. Calledc and tried to hassle me about my personal details.
Just had a call from 0499 164 164, said it was from Ausmarket doing research on superannuation. Asked her to direct me to information about their company to see if they were legitimate and she hung up.
This number is used by scammers purporting to be from the Australian Taxation Office or, at times, Telstra Australia. Both scams. One is to get you to pay a non existent tax debt and the other is to gain access to your computer.
Been receiving calls from this number. There is no one there, then it beeps (like when you go to leave someone you ring, a message) then it says Goodbye, then disconnects. Grrrrrrr.
Received two calls from this number. First one I've answered, nobody was there, second one I didn't bother. Obviously scam. I am starting to wonder, if these scams are costing us, people who pick up any money. In Europe it's a wide spread scam that you pick up and you're the one who is billed, and not peanuts either. Anyway, I do not pick up "funny" looking numbers or blocked I. D. Ones any more.
When I get these calls I tell them I am unemployed, renting and nearing 65. I seem to be getting less and less calls. Hopefully my name will eventually get scrubbed from their lists.

Yeah had numerous missed calls each day 16/9.17/9.18/9/2015 from this number as I am on nightshift. Each time I called back it said it was disconnected. After reading comments I suggest you block the number. I recently started using rosegal website. Thank you everyone else for you comments.
Just got a call from this number. A male with an Asian accent said he was doing a 30 second market analysis. Didn't give me a chance to accept or refuse to participate before he started asking questions. Asked if I'd been overseas in the last 3 years or if I worked full time. When I asked who/what the survey was for (several times) he wouldn't give me an answer, just kept repeating that it was for market analysis. Told him I wasn't interested and hung up.
Got a call from this number asked where she was calling from dribbled something off and straight away asked if I work full time or part time which I replied remove me from call register but only got to the word remove before she hung up.
This number called me twice today. 18/9/2015. Several other times also as a missed call. They said they were doing marketing research. Asked if I have been on an overseas holiday in the last 3-5 years. This lets them know you have a passport. She asked if I worked full or part time. I did not answer her. I told her she is too personal. She said no, they are just collecting statistics. I said no, she said she does not ask personal questions. I asked how she got my phone number. She hung up on me. Possibly Asian, Indian, African, spoken in broken English. Block this number everyone. Every answered question is information given out about yourself.
I received a call from this number tonight 17/9/15 around 6pm and an automated voice was left on my answering machine and it was a women and all she said was a very strange sounding 'Hi'.
This number is an overseas number but when you redial it says it is disconnected. Definite scam.
