Safety Context
A community report indicated behaviour the reporting user considered scam. Because reporting volume is limited, this record should be interpreted as an early community signal rather than an established pattern.
As a general telecommunications safety principle, individuals are generally advised to avoid sharing personal information or verification codes unless legitimacy can be independently confirmed.
About This Record
This page forms part of the Reverseau public safety intelligence database, which aggregates community-reported telecommunications safety information across Australia.
Records update automatically as new reports are submitted. Records may exist prior to receiving community reports in order to support proactive telecommunications safety monitoring and future reporting.
Reverseau maintains this database as a continuously updated public safety dataset designed to support telecommunications risk awareness across Australia. Reverseau does not determine liability, intent, or identity. Records reflect aggregated community-submitted signals only.

Community Safety Reports
Classifications reflect anonymised community-submitted reports and represent observed interaction patterns only. They do not identify callers or constitute verified findings.
Only two community-submitted records are currently available for this number.
Pattern status reflects statistical distribution of community reports and does not indicate verified activity.
Reporting volume is limited. Interpret pattern status cautiously.
Additional reports may refine pattern assessment over time.
These reports contribute to the Community Risk Level and Confidence assessment shown above.

Yeah, they rang me on the same number to be from Vodafone Indian lady and hang up actually tried to ring you back when I hanged up and the phone was ringing. That’s not a fake number have stop this person before they do scam someone.
0498352812 - Indian lady called me by my name telling me she was from Telstra. I stopped her and asked why she was ringing me as I was not with Telstra. She told me I was a customer of Telstra and they were my mobile phone provider. I pointed out that I have never been with Telstra and they were not my mobile phone provider. I also stated that I was not interested in whatever she had to sell me as that would be the only reason she would ring me on a non-Telstra service. She just said Okay and hung up. Be wary as my name is not connected to any service so she is working off a "list" sold from another company - and not from a telecommunications company. This is a scam.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
