This guy called saying he was from Vodafone. He couldn't give me any information about me other than my phone number. He then said to bring up my account I needed to provide him with personal details. An obvious scam.
On a side note, I'm with Optus...
Called personal mobile saying calling from Vodaphone. Asked me who my service provider was - challenged why they needed to know this and they hung up. Indian male. SCAMMERS block the number if they call your phone - better still don't answer as it confirms they've reached you.
Called offering me 30% off my mobile bill... When I questioned why I wasn't offered that in the store when I was there last week, he just kept saying he was calling from vodafone and I'm a very loyal customer who deserves 30% off. I asked how much that would make my bill and he could only say.70% of what you currently pay. Definite scam.
