Smoke Alarms Australia - This is happening because of the law in NSW that says that landlords are responsible for inspecting smoke alarms annually. Many of these smoke alarms are zero maintenance (10 year) devices. These devices are being over-serviced but that is the law in NSW. The buildings themselves are also required to inspect the alarms so this ends up being double the number of inspections (for a zero maintenance device).

The problem with Smoke Alarms Australia is that their booking system is terrible. They call at odd hours of the day trying to get you to drop everything and let them in to do the inspection. Then they reschedule on another day and so on. They call early in the morning and late at night.

They need to give people a good amount of notice and make appointments which they then keep to. They should also not be calling at odd hours like 8 am on Saturday mornings.
