Sick of getting calls from 0485 numbers. Why doesn’t a government authority intervene and stop these scammers?
I received a call that asked if I was still interested in buying a house, but the voice seemed fake and suspicious.
I heavily advise against answering calls from Health Spotters; I have lost count of how many times I received calls from various numbers starting with 0485. I am registered on the Do Not Call list, but it hasn’t helped at all. I plan to block this number immediately.
They have rung me at least twice a day on this and similar numbers. A woman with a heavy accent always leaves a message claiming to be from Clemenger Media Sales. Relentless, I've blocked about 5 numbers in the last two days.

This number Rang, my phone detected it as Spam so did not pick up.

Never realised I was so popular so many travellers wished to make my acquaintance... Pfffft.
Spam call - didn't answer. When I rang back the recorded message stated they're trying to get me a better deal on my health insurance - I don't have any. Blocked.
Unsolicited call related to private health insurance benefits (which I don't have). I asked up front whether the call was marketing or donations related and was told it was not. Woman's voice was hard to hear (muffled) and slightly defensive when I queried her purpose, but she ended the call politely once she found I did not qualify. Sounds like a marketing call to me!!
