Got a dodgy SMS from what seemed like Energy Australia demanding my electricity bill. Amount didn’t line up with the one in my email from two weeks ago. That definitely raised my eyebrows! But, a quick check online showed all was good - phew! That inconsistency was enough to get my warning bells ringing.

I also had a similar experience with this number; they contacted me regarding an incorrect bill amount, despite the fact that my bills have already been paid.

They are still at it! I got a text on Aug 18 allegedly from Energy Australia requesting payment of our electricity bill. Wrong amount but still looking as if the sender was genuine. Same originating number as is stated on this page: 61481075208. Be careful people.
