I chose not to answer the call and looked up the number. I'm relieved I decided not to pick up.
When I called this number back, I was greeted with a recorded message that said, "Sorry, we are unable to connect your call at this time...". This raises concerns about the legitimacy of the caller since the message provided no clear information or explanation.
Kept going on about my email address, which is an email address I had 20 years ago and when I kept pushing and asking where he was calling from and what the call was about he just kept circling with the same opening sentence about being able to track my email.
Finally after few false starts he said he was from Australia Cyber Security, I wish I had a laughing emoji right here, I think the Indian accent gave it away, not to mention the delay in the initial response from answering the call.
I called bullshit, hung up and then blocked the number.
