I received an SMS from a number pretending to be DHL, which I checked on Reverse AU. I found that this number is associated with various types of scams, so I created a contact for it and subsequently blocked it.
Reported as a DHL scam, this phone number has multiple scam-related reports associated with it. The contact was created and blocked on 09-Mar-23, with the reverse lookup details updated on 04-Aug-23.
I received a suspicious text message containing an MMS. I did not open the MMS, and I advise others not to do so either if you can't verify the sender. Always check your call log for the number if it's not shown in the SMS or MMS. There are dangerous viruses that can be spread this way, so avoid opening messages from unknown numbers.
I keep receiving messages from this number that say: "Hey mate, with Bitcoin you can start earning money every time someone makes a transaction. Join now! [scam URL] Reply STOP to opt out." This is a clear indication of a scam.
I received a message saying, "Hey (name), it's Jeff from JB! I tried reaching you about your iPhone 13. If I don't hear back, it will be given to another customer next Monday." The message also contained a suspicious link.
