I just received the exact same message word-for-word today. The scam is still ongoing and active.
Hi, I received a message from someone claiming to be Andrew from Gumtree asking if my car listed for sale is still available. If so, they requested that I reply to an email address provided with my final asking price. This raises concerns about the legitimacy of the inquiry.
Also a victim of Gumtree scam, texts does not reply, or answer phone calls.
Seller beware.
