I live in the Redlands Qld and received a call from this number. There was nobody on the line when I answered. So I can only assume its was another call centre scam. So much for our pathetic DO NOT CALL REGISTER.!!!!!

I received a call yesterday 18/07/2017 FROM 0434009871 a woman with Indian accent saying she was from the government do not call register. I could hear all the call centre workers in the back ground. They end up asking for credit card details for proof of id. Scammers.

Received a call from this number 0434 009 871 and he said he was from the "do not call register" I'm already registered through the Australian Government DNC register so I don't know how these calls still get through! These people knew my name and a lot more and they ask about creditcard expiry. So beware of these people they are a call center from overseas.

Called me to ask if I've had any nuisance calls and I replied yes. Then proceed to tell me they were from the nuisance call centre and ask if my name was Mr.PQ. I told them it wasn't my name and they tried to get my details. I told them to stop scamming people and go f*k themselves.

Husband & I have both received this call twice as Mike states above in the past two weeks.

First time around I got the call whilst sick - not in the mood for it. She stated my address simply, pronouncing the address wrong with no suburb etc. Pronounication not so much the problem as it is a little tricky, however could not quote anything else.

She repeated everything as if reading it. So I hung up.

Husband got same call a few days later, so he asked her to remove herself from that list first. She asked him, "pardon"? He repeated it. She hung up.

Just got the call again, I answered but they hung up a few seconds into me asking "Hello" the second time.

I note the first two calls, we were on hold with music for a few seconds until she finally connected & started speaking. I assume to call other numbers at the same time to see who actually answer first. Hence why they hang up. IMHO.

This number called today 30 June 2017, a female said she was from the nuisance call centre and could help stop unwanted calls. She new my name and asked me to confirm my address to which I asked who she was and she restated she was from the nuisance call centre, I asked her what the company name was and she hung up. Would appear to be some type of scam.
