Rang me saying from National Broadband Network my service is slow and I would have noticed. Asian male low IQ, in a hurry I said oh National Broadband Network rings on mobiles and helps now, Come one National Broadband Network doesn't handle such things, I know and now you know I know. He hung up. Ringing the number I got a female response. Asked if it was a person I know, but it was just a voice I have heard before so I said some one is using your number pretending to be National Broadband Network. She didn't sound surprised and although I have definitely spoken to both the scamer who called and the female who answered on redial the number I can't say if there is just a spoofing scamer using her number or if she was involved but must give her the benefit of the doubt even though its the second time for both. I would add for anyone who doesn't know, Telstra and National Broadband Network don't call on mobiles. A call from Telstra or Microsoft tech support is always a scam as telsra don't do anything for free nor call direct. If you feel it might be real just hang up and ring the proper number for Telstra and report the issue especially if the return number is active. Its awkward but they will look into it and direct you to scam watch etc. A hint will be they use your name but are slow to explain why who nor allow you a number or id to call back a bit later which you should always do. Don't believe tech support will ring you. Don't call on numbers they provide or links. Just write down for reporting and always allow for spoofing where any number can be put in your call id thiugh they call from different and most won't redial just a outbof service number used to call you. Even I have a program that can put any number as the one that shows up but I would not do it as I would expect one day people should be hunted and held to account. Not hard for providers to do or prevent but they don't want to yet. Simply block service providers who are not getting ids as phones or services are set up. Like we have to then suffer the info being sold or stolen by staff or subsidiary call centers.
