I received an automated voicemail from this number, featuring an American-accented voice indicating that I had missed an important notice from the Australian Office of Home Affairs.
This caller claimed to be from Australian Home Affairs but only left a message without any accompanying voice call.
Scam.
Said that they were from Australian Department of Home affairs, that I had over stayed my visa and needed to turn myself in before they came and sent me back to my home country.
I asked what country I was being deported back to and they said the country I was born in. I asked which one was that and they hung up. FYI. I was born in Australia but If they want to send me someplace warmer, I won’t argue…
