Received a phone call on mobile saying my bank account had been closed for non payment of taxes and that if I did not call them they would issue a warrant for my arrest. When I called them back on my home phone the number sounded like a fax machine.
Received a call and a recorded message when I answered on Sat 30/4/17. The recorded message indicated that I had not paid tax. Perversely coincidental as when I called back they told me I had not replied to correspondence in Feb, about the same time I had an issue with ATO. The male on the phone also had my name and PO Box address. Fortunately I didn't have access to my tax file No., which was requested, as I probably would have given it to him. Got annoyed with the male when he said that a summons had been sent to my PO Box (the same one they got a NOT KNOWN reply from) and I hung up to chase up in person.
I received a call from this number on a Sat morning Sydney time, When I picked up a message said that I have been delinquent in my tax filing and that a warrant will be issued and I will be arrested. I was very worried and I hope there is a way this operation can be stopped.

Reported to The REAL ATO, contacted my banks, did a online report to ACorn, also contacting police to report.

Tried calling the number this morning just to check he answered the phone Australian Taxation Department I hung up unbelievable that the government agencies can take so long to investigate.

I received this call this morning from this number, also about tax evasion and being audited, and the possibility of a warrant being issued for my arrest. After searching the number on reverseau. Com, noticed all these other comments from people with the exact same details about tax avoidance, and being issued with a arrest warrant.

I just had this awful call. Made my heart miss a beat. I called 03 8362 5051 right back as I did not like the thought of a warrant being issues for my arrest! Anyway, I called and it was an answering machine so I left my mobile number(the one they ha called) and asked them to call me back. No other details given.
Then I googled the number and now I feel sicker, as I gave them my mobile number.....

I got the same call and have reported this to the ombudsman's office - it's a scam.
Just got a missed call from this number 0383625051. They left a message saying "Recent audit. We have identified incorrect and or no tax filing and your account is been delinquent on account of tax avoidance. ___." One hell of a scam. Block and report.
Rec'd call today telling me I have money owed to tax dept and they said there is a warrant for my arrest.

As I know my tax is fully up to date, this has to be a scam. Within minutes of the call I received an email stating I had a speeding fine and need pay $220 .............. As I do not drive again this is spam, I am sure these are linked.
