The phone number 03 8361 1800 has been reported as a telemarketer, potentially linked to unsolicited technical services. Learn how to handle calls from this number and protect yourself from unknown callers.

If you've recently received a call from 03 8361 1800, you're not alone. This number has been identified by users as a potential telemarketer, notorious for unsolicited calls. One report indicates that the caller left a message that was barely audible, directing recipients to call back at a different number purportedly associated with technical services. This has raised suspicions about the nature of their operations.

The origins of this call trace back to a company named Rain Bird, located in Deer Park, Victoria. However, the unsolicited manner of the call suggests that they may be employing aggressive telemarketing tactics which are less than welcome. Many Australians find these types of calls intrusive and annoying, as they often disrupt daily activities.

So how should you proceed if you encounter a call from 03 8361 1800? Here are a few tips to handle unsolicited telemarketing calls:

  • Don't engage: If the call is unexpected and you feel uncomfortable, it's best not to engage with the caller. Simply hang up and do not call back.
  • Do your research: If you're curious about the call, consider using a Reverse Phone Lookup Australia service to gather more details about the number and its associated company.
  • Block the number: If you receive repeated calls or messages, blocking the number can help you regain calmness in your communication.
  • Report the call: If you believe the call is spam or a scam, consider reporting it to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).

It’s important to remain vigilant. As scams become more sophisticated, recognising the signs of unsolicited calls is paramount for protecting your personal information. As always, maintaining your privacy and security is crucial, so remain sceptical of any unsolicited communications.

Called out of the blue and unsolicited and left a message saying their name which was inaudible and to call their technical services back at a different number at 1800 225 512. I looked up this number and the number they left the message on and they seem to be a company called Rain Bird based at Deer Park, Vic. Possibly telemarketing?

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (03) 8361 1800 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
