I answered the call cautiously after researching the number previously. The caller used my name, but when I requested to know who they were, they abruptly hung up on me!

I recommend not answering calls from unknown numbers and instead adding them to your blocked list. It's not even worth my time to engage with these people.

An Indian woman called me, claiming she needed to block my Microsoft computer, even though I do not own one. I'm confused about how she would accomplish that.

A man with a thick Indian accent introduced himself as Michael and was attempting to sell solar panels. This seemed like an unsolicited sales call.

I strongly advise against engaging with any calls from this number. I hung up seconds after answering and it was clearly a recorded scam message.

During the call, the person inquired if I had solar panels. I said I was not interested, and they promptly hung up. This interaction felt untrustworthy, so I would categorize it as a scam.

Said they were Amazon & charging me $99 or to call them if this is wrong. Scam as Amazon is paid thru my phone bill not Amazon themselves. Have been calling me all week.

Got a call from 03 7067 5144 saying he's from National Broadband Network and every time I use internet they get a warning that my IP address is downloaded from somewhere.

Scam

Received an automated call from this number 1 April 22 purporting to be from National Broadband Network cancelling the landline. The first option was to press 1 to talk to a technician. Immediately suspicious as already on National Broadband Network, so call couldn't have been up to anything good, and why would I talk to National Broadband Network in Melbourne and not to my ISP? Thanks for clarification.

I missed a call from this number and tried to call back, but I only heard engaged tones, indicating that the line was busy.

Scam

I had a call from this number stating that my phone and internet will be disconnected within 24 hours due to a problem found with the broadband/NBN in my area. The caller kept repeating "OK" after every statement. I had to press "1" to be connected to them. My husband received the same call the day before, and I want to note that my internet is still functioning normally.

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (03) 7067 5144 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
