I've received three missed calls from this number, but no messages were left. I will not be calling back, as I am cautious about unknown numbers.
This number just contacted me and said they were trying to verify a PayPal transaction I had apparently made for $799. Total BS, told him I would report the number. Scary they know first and last name and my phone number though. That being said, I am a customer of every big company that has been hacked in Australia in the last three years! Probably doesn’t help.

Attempted fraud. Asian sounding woman claimed that she was checking if I purchased something online for $1299. Wanted to verify my details. I accused of trying to perpetrate a fraud and she quickly hung up. I reported the call to my telco.
Checked with my bank and no transaction on any account was made for that amount.
The caller claimed to be from ANZ to confirm something. Later, they said they were from Commbank. When I questioned this inconsistency, they changed their story, claiming that a transaction from Commbank had been attempted to an ANZ account set up in my name. Their lack of consistency in the story was suspicious.
Said I missed a call from home affairs.
An AI-generated female voice called me, claiming that there was a transfer of $3700 into my account. The message asked me to press 1 if the information was incorrect. I believe this is a scam call and I will be blocking this number and deleting the message.
